Where is the rage?
Post release of the Epstein files: Poem
Apathy is the same as war, it all kills you.” ~ Warsan Shire
The world didn’t stop.
Hearts didn’t quit racing.
People still smiled; others laughed.
“Get ready with me” videos played on my screen.
No, the world didn’t stop.
Have we no heart?
Or perhaps, we’ve lost the ability to feel.
Women—so used to the pain that now you feel numb?
Men—so fed on oppression that your minds call it "fun"?
Where is the rage?
That girl was eight.
Abused and used by supposed "protectors."
Forget that, there’s a latte at Starbucks.
“Release the Epstein files”
Oh wait, I have to update snap. “I wouldn’t want them to miss my car.”
Are our minds trapped?
Wake up.
Sell the hours.
Eat.
Sleep.
Sell them again.
I thought we would take to the streets,
I thought we would burn down predatory seats.
I thought life would be unbearable, justice delayed,
I thought we would strike at the perverts who preyed.
Oh, how I thought.
I really thought the world would stop,
Dear little ones, i’m sorry I was wrong.

It's truly so horrific and devastating how compliant we are with the monsters in power 💔
